Better Work Columbus is a group of Columbus, Ga. and Phenix City, Ala.–based organizations and businesses that believe our community is better when everyone has access to the dignity that comes from work. Better Works Columbus collaborates with dozens of local resources to provide training, support services, and connections to help you find meaningful work.
Since 1904, Big Brothers Big Sisters has been changing the lives of children facing adversity for the better, forever. We make meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers ("Bigs") and children ("Littles"), ages 6-17, nationwide. By nurturing and empowering children, we strengthen communities.
CEPACC is a community-based arts and recreational center committed to establishing art, music, recreational programs, and interventions that benefit everyone from youth to seniors in the city of Columbus. CEPACC establishes educational programs and services for children to supplement learning in core subjects such as reading, writing, mathematics, language, science, and STEM programs to improve achievements or any other core subjects consistent with K -12 educational success.
Men Act This Way, Inc is a part of 17 elementary schools and 3 middle schools across the state of Georgia. It is funded by the Crime Prevention Community Grant Program and the Columbus Georgia Community Reinvestment Block Grant Program. Men Act This Way has received over $100,000 in grant funding to support its program goals.

The Truancy Intervention Project or “TIP” strives to decrease chronic absenteeism by pairing trained volunteers with children and their families to provide them with the advocacy, resources and services necessary to ensure good attendance and success in school. Valley Rescue Mission guides those they serve to become productive citizens in their home, church, and community by building their lives on the foundation of Jesus Christ. By providing for their physical needs, promoting personal development and presenting them with the opportunity for life change through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
